      About the “My Day” Prediction

The My Day Prediction tells you how favourable today and tomorrow are for you, personalised to your exact birth chart — not a generic Sun-sign or Rashi forecast. Two people born on the same date can have wildly different daily experiences, and Vedic astrology captures this precisely through the Ashtakavarga system — a classical point-based framework that scores every sign the Moon transits through, relative to your personal natal placements.

      How Your Day Is Scored

We use the Moon Bhinnashtakavarga (BAV) — the classical daily barometer of Vedic astrology — which gives each zodiac sign a score out of 8 based on how the other planets in your chart contribute. When the transiting Moon enters a sign with high BAV points (6-8), that window supports decisions, travel, negotiations and new beginnings. When the Moon enters a low-score sign (0-3), the mind is classically less supported and the advice is to rest, review, or avoid high-stakes moves.

      Three Layers of Analysis

      What is Rahu Kaal?

Rahu Kaal (also written Rahu Kalam) is one of the most important inauspicious time windows in Vedic astrology — an approximately 90-minute slice of every day that is ruled by the shadow planet Rahu. Classical texts uniformly recommend that no auspicious or important new activity be started during this window. That includes signing contracts, beginning a journey, getting married, naming a child, opening a new business, making a major purchase, or starting a course of study.

How it is calculated: take the time from sunrise to sunset at your current location, divide it into 8 equal segments, and pick the segment whose number depends on the weekday: Sunday → 8th, Monday → 2nd, Tuesday → 7th, Wednesday → 5th, Thursday → 6th, Friday → 4th, Saturday → 3rd. Because the start depends on local sunrise, the Rahu Kaal window varies every day and at every place on earth — the same date in Mumbai and Pasadena will have completely different Rahu Kaal hours, and our calculator uses your current city's sunrise so the warning is accurate for where you actually are.

Note: Rahu Kaal does NOT mean nothing can be done in this period — you can continue ongoing work without harm. The classical restriction is specifically against starting new ventures whose first impression you want the universe to be auspicious. On every day’s Today / Tomorrow box above we now show a yellow Rahu Kaal banner with the exact local hours, plus a per-segment RAHU KAAL badge on any Moon-transit window that overlaps it — even if its Bindu count is high.

      Use It For

Pick the best hours to sign contracts, schedule interviews, start a journey, launch a campaign, have difficult conversations, or buy major items. Conversely, identify windows to rest, meditate, or postpone critical decisions. Unlike a generic zodiac forecast, this is tuned to your specific birth chart and your current location's timezone.

Note: This prediction is not like rashiphal (which is based on the zodiac sign). Instead, it is completely customized based on the date of birth, time, place of birth and current city/place.
